Beach (Personal Project)

 

This is my personal project, "Beach". I chose this as my personal project to showcase how I feel about the beach. As a kid, I used to hate the beach. I was scared of what was in the water, and I always thought sand was dirty and not fun to play in. However, over the last few years, I've grown really fond of the beach. Something changed; I now go to the beach with excitement and awe. The water is still a bit scary, but mostly it's magnificent. The sand is full of stories, and the coast is endless. I started this project, photographing the most beautiful sights at some of my favorite California beaches. Through my photography, I've discovered what exactly has changed and why I now love the beach. The beach brings a feeling of togetherness and a sense of connection to the Earth that no other place I've been to can match. With beautiful sunsets and a horizon bursting with wonder and opportunity, the beach has become a very special and very lovely place to me.
